The new series, Willow, is the most anticipated Disney+2022 release in the UK, new research has revealed.
As 2022 starts, the study by internet experts VpnOverview.com analysed the number of monthly online searches for Disney+ 2022 releases to reveal the shows that people are most looking forward to watching this year.
Analysis of the data revealed that the new series from Lucasfilm, Willow, is UK’s most searched Disney+ show, with an average of 40,000 searches each month. The original film, first released in 1988, featured Warwick Davis in his first leading role as a farmer who sets out to find a child prophesied to end the reign of the evil queen.
The second most anticipated Disney+ release is Disenchanted, the sequel to the 2007 film, Enchanted, which being searched on average 39,000 times each month in 2021. The new movie is set ten years after the first film, and continues the story of Giselle adapting to real life.
Hocus Pocus 2ranks third on the list of Disney+ shows that people in the UKare excited to see, with the sequel to the 1993film, Hocus Pocus, racking up an estimated 32,000 searches every month.
Coming in at fourth on the list is Moon Knight, a miniseries about the Marvel superhero, which has received 26,000 monthly searches in UK.
Cheaper By The Dozen is fifth most anticipated Disney+ release coming in 2022, with each month seeing an average of 20,000 searches for the new version of the 2003 family-comedy film.

The Mandalorian Season3, comes in at sixth on the list. The third season of the popular Star Wars series coming out this year generates approximately 13,000 searches by the British public each month.
At seventh on the list,is another Star Wars series, Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. The series is based on the popular characterwith the same name, and wasGoogled 10,000 times a month in the UK last year.
Secret Invasion takes eighth spot in the list, with 3,300 searches, anotherMarvel series is at ninth, She Hulk getting 3,000 searches and The Simpsons Season 33 finishes off the top ten with 1,000 searches.

The data shows that the new series Willow is set to be one of the biggest releases in 2022, along with Disenchanted and Hocus Pocus 2. Whatever people are planning to watch this year, it looks like it will be another successful year for Disney+ based on the searches alone.”
