8 out of 10 millennials feel they need life insurance, but have no idea how to get it.
Anorak, the award winning independent online broker for life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover, has today announced its partnership with personal finance app Quirk, to provide millennials with tailored financial education and advice.
Known as the “personality-powered financial app” Quirk, and Anorak – the provider of personalised online advice on life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover – are working together to help the under 35s financially safeguard themselves, by providing personalised financial information on money management and protection policies.
Quirk provides a personalised spending plan for their customers, and now with Anorak’s integrated capabilities, the platform can also provide information on protection – using the Anorak service to assess each customer’s needs and to help get the right protection in place for them.
With many people left in a state of financial uncertainty in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, millennials in particular have displayed a greater interest in, and appetite for, protection policies like life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover. Whether it be to help manage their rent, first-time mortgage or simply to protect their quality of life, 53% of those covered by protection products in the UK belong to the millennial or Gen X age group, according to Anorak’s research.
David Vanek, CEO and co-founder of Anorak commented:
“Our partnership with Quirk opens the door to educating more millennial and gen Z customers about the benefits of protection products early on. Following the worst of the pandemic, more millennials are investigating life insurance. By partnering with Quirk – who put the user at the heart of the financial information they collect – we will provide this age group with reliable, unbiased, personalised financial advice, on how to protect their quality of life and that of their dependents.”
Nikos Melachrinos co-founder and CEO of Quirk commented:
“We’re really excited to work with Anorak on providing free advice and helping our users think about protections that are essential to their financial lives. We’ve worked together to make the approach a lot more accessible and easy to navigate for young people so they are able to get started earlier. We admire Anorak’s expertise in insurance and their commitment to providing a human-centred service.”
Delivering life insurance advice to users from Starling Bank, Clearscore, Canopy, Billbuddy, Vivup and OpenMoney, this latest partnership continues Anorak’s mission to put people back in control of their insurance policies, by helping to educate users on the options available to them, and make the right decisions.
